Breakout Session: Executive Pastors – What every Senior Pastor Needs
Being at the top of the org chart is an incredible honor, a great joy, a terrible weight and a lonely spot. We’ll look at how to best serve the needs of your senior leader without feeding their insecurities or losing yourself along the way.
Scott Anderson is currently the Executive Pastor of Scottsdale Bible Church, a large multi-campus church in the Phoenix Metro Area serving more than 7,000 people at 12 weekend services. Before joining SBC in 2016, he served for 20 years at Eagle Brook Church in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, where he was instrumental in helping grow the church from one campus and 1,200 people to six campuses with 22,000 each weekend. Scott likes to say that his 17 years of experience leading people and processes at McDonald’s Corporation followed by his 20 years at Eagle Brook Church, gave him just the right mix of experience and opportunity to lead in his current role. Scott and his wife, Sarah, have been married for more than 30 years and have three adult children and two grandchildren who live in Minnesota.
